Options Screener

Option Screener for NSE Options

FAQs About Options Screener

The options screener lets traders filter NSE option contracts by criteria including open interest, volume, change in OI, IV, IV percentile, moneyness (ITM/ATM/OTM), bid-ask spread, and price change. Use it to surface trade-worthy options across all underlyings — from Nifty/Bank Nifty/Fin Nifty indices to all F&O stocks — without scanning each option chain manually.
Common screens include: highest OI build-up (institutional positioning), highest unusual volume (potential signal of upcoming news), highest IV (high premium for option sellers), lowest IV (cheap premium for option buyers), and biggest OI unwinds (positions being closed). Each scan corresponds to a different strategy template.
Live OI, volume, and price fields refresh every minute during market hours. IV and IV percentile recalculate continuously. After-hours data reflects last available exchange feed and is held until next session.
Yes — Prime users can save custom screen configurations, set alerts when new tickers match a saved screen, and export screen results as CSV. Free users can run any screen on demand but cannot persist filters between sessions.
Volume counts all contracts traded that day; OI counts contracts still open (not closed or expired). High volume with rising OI signals fresh positions being built. High volume with falling OI signals positions being closed. The combination tells you whether activity is opening or unwinding — a critical distinction.
The screener filters individual contracts. For multi-leg strategy screens — e.g., the most attractive iron condor, butterfly, or covered call setup — use the NiftyTrader options simulator and strategy builder, which evaluate combinations across legs.
